Our event is designed to be inclusive, respectful, and an exploration into the ways we define community, and the 'shadow aspects' of our modern lives and behaviors. We all have basic needs and common ground that we share regardless of where we live and how we live our lives. The biggest challenge sometimes can be to accept the uncomfortable, unjust, and terrible things in life, so that common ground..
\n
SCD Hub's \"Shadow Self Poetic Engagement Series\" will support all people who wish to come by Walmart on Sept 14 2019, between 3:30 PM and 7 PM with artists Ǥœg Willson assisting young and old participants to share their thoughts and ideas on shadow self concepts. Claudia Mwende Mbinda will be participating remotely from Njiru, Kenya where she lives and works to develop community projects related to recycled materials, medicinal gardens, poetics, and acrobatics.
\n
This event supports the diverse community of people who we are at this time, with no judgement. We have agreed to Walmart's 'Informational Content' terms: \"You may not communicate verbally or in writing any message on Company property that contains or depicts violence, obseneties, pornography, gross or gruesome scenes, racial or ethinic or inflammatory slogans likely to provoke a disturbance. Our goals are basic... to make it possible for low income families to afford predominantly organic, locally sourced sustainable foods.
\n
Responsibilities of a food hub
\n
Food hubs are typically coordinated by one person who is compensated in some way for her efforts. The benchmark set by Open Food Network is that food hub managers are paid 15% of the cash or product moving through their hub. This is up to the membersw of each hub, as Tiny Food does not decide decide how your hub is to be run, we simply provide a free online presence tool, with which you may do as you wish. Hub managers typically maintain contact with different food sources and providers, help mentor or provide new farmers with access to good mentors, and reaches out to the general community to ensure that people know far in advance that a group has formed to provide access to local and healthy food.
\n
Farmers - Farmers can use the \"Deploy to Heroku\" button to create a new private Tiny Food instance.
