Vaadin Copilot supersedes Vaadin Designer

After this release Vaadin Designer remains supported, but is deprecated.

We're currently collecting insights from current Vaadin Designer users to make sure Copilot is a worthy upgrade.

I would love to use copilot. Designer stopped working a longer time ago (IntelliJ-issue).
...but in our company copilot is forbidden, because there is no confirmation the AI servers reside in Europe and no European company wants to send data to Tump-and-Musk-Land...
In addition there are proxys and CSRF/CrossOrigin rules which make lives quite complicated.

All in all at the moment:

• no designer
• no copilot
• not even dev tools

You can call it a very expensive Vaadin "light" we currently have to use...

Could you @RSM-CWI elaborate a little about this? Maybe send me an email (or use whatever channel you feel is appropriate).
I'd like to explore two things: 1) keep Designer working 2) get to know more about how you use(d) Designer so we can make sure Copilot is a good alternative as soon as possible.

I hear you, but for now it is not guaranteed to run in the EU.
In 24.7 we have two options to use Copilot but w/o AI:

• A popup asks for confirmation each time AI is about to be called, until you check "don't ask again".
• "AI privacy policy management" is available as a customization to Premium and above subscriptions; you can turn off all AI features for the whole team.

@emarc I'd be happy to contribute. I ran into 2 to 3 additional issues with copilot and I'd be happy to know if I am just using it the wrong way... I'll see if I can find a way to emal you somehow ;-).
