Impact of New Google Maps Styling Changes on react-google-maps Library Users #546
-
Hi everyone, I recently received an update from Google Maps Platform announcing upcoming changes to the default map colors and styling, which will be fully rolled out by March 18, 2025. These changes include a new color palette, improved road visibility, updated POI markers, and other enhancements to map usability. The update allows for early previews and opt-ins, as well as customization via map IDs. The announcement: https://developers.google.com/maps/new-map-style-opt-in Thank you! |
