Paste menu shows for a split second and disappears

Steps:

• Copy text from somewhere.
• Edit a blog post
• Long press to bring up the paste options.

The menu shows for a split second, then goes away. Subsequent long presses bring up nothing.

I've spent some time debugging this issue with no luck. In any case it seems related to some Device/Android combination, since the Paste item is available on most of my tests devices:

Emulators:

• Google Pixel XL Emulator - 8.0 ✔️
• Google Pixel XL Emulator - 7.1.0 ✔️
• Nexus 6P Emulator - 6.0.0 ✔️
• Sony Xperia Z Emulator - 4.3 ✔️

Real devices:

• Wiko Ridge - 5.0.2 ✔️
• Nexus 5x - 7.1.2 ❌

Could it be related to the WebView Implementation?
I see Chrome Stable on the device that fails tests.

Just to add my own findings, I also could not reproduce on any emulator. I was also unable to reproduce on a Pixel 2 running 8.0.0.
