@sergey-tihon Here's a possible addition regarding allowing the inward forking of stagnant projects found elsewhere.

It's a thorny topic but clearly fsprojects can play a role here to allow continued community development.

Please let me know what you think.

Sounds good to me (fixes a few typos), I like that it covers only abandoned projects. We should not allow forking active projects in case of conflict with the maintainer or license.

Great! Would love it if this was used for FParsec, assuming the original author is OK with it. It would be a shame of such a great projects stops working on newer versions of .NET/F#.

@dsyme I only know of the discussion in FParsec's github: stephan-tolksdorf/fparsec#89

Otherwise just expressing a wish. Not aware of any other discussion regarding this matter, except for many people on Slack and Discord frequently expressing their admiration for the library. If I find any specific discussion, I'll be sure to post it here.
