IsNegativeOrZero(UInt64) Method

Determines if a value is zero or represents a negative real number.

Definition

Namespace: EgonsoftHU.Extensions.Bcl
Assembly: EgonsoftHU.Extensions.Bcl (in EgonsoftHU.Extensions.Bcl.dll) Version: 3.0.1+8c729d04d0fcab10705485e5626d4fdebeaa818d

C#

public static bool IsNegativeOrZero(
	this ulong value
)

VB

<ExtensionAttribute>
Public Shared Function IsNegativeOrZero (
	value As ULong
) As Boolean

Parameters

  UInt64
The value to be checked.

Return Value

Boolean
true if value is zero or represents a negative real number; otherwise, false.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type UInt64. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see

Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or

Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).

Remarks

This function treats both positive and negative zero as zero and so will return true for +0.0 and -0.0.

This function returning false does not imply that IsPositive(UInt64) will return true.
