An optimization breaks in netty 4.1.111 (causing corruption: #11284), and we "fixed it" by disabling the optimization. At least some people would notice the performance decrease so we really want to fix it better before upgrading our version of Netty. If there was a notable vulnerability that we were impacted by, we would upgrade (security trumps performance), but up to this point have been reasonably lucky. |
