## About | ||
The goal of Communication Access project is to inform development of communication access standards and regulations under the Accessible Canada Act. The Accessible Canada Act specifically lists communication as an area where barriers will be identified, removed and prevented. This IDRC research will address communication access for people who have speech, language and communication disabilities. In this work, we focus on communication access for people who have speech, language and communication disabilities due to life-long or acquired cognitive and/or neurological disabilities.
Our research builds on research carried out by Communication Disabilities Access Canada (CDAC) and extends and supports recommendations previously tabled by CDAC. This research will inform development of an Equitable Communication Standard.

## About | ||
The Future of Work: Equitable Digital Systems project was an initiative at the Inclusive Design Research Centre, OCAD University examining the accessibility of the digital tools and systems we rely upon for work. The focus of the project was to ensure that current and emerging technology and digital systems and their associated practices are meeting the needs of and enabling work for persons with disabilities. The project looked specifically at systems used by organizations that are regulated by the Accessible Canada Act, Bill C-81.

## About | ||
IDRC partnered with Carleton University’s Accessibility Institute on the Informing Standards for Acoustics and the Built Environment project, which has investigated the impact of the acoustic environment on people with disabilities and explored technologies that can contribute to reducing and eliminating acoustics barriers.
Informed by research literature, field assessments of available acoustics technologies and active engagement with people with lived experience of disability, the research team has recommended a set of acoustics best practices and informed the creation of accessibility standards to improve the quality and comfort of the listening experience.

## About | ||
IDRC's Regulating the Digital Domain (RtDD) project is committed to advancing digital inclusion and ICT accessibility for people with disabilities by addressing the failure of existing regulatory processes to create inclusive and accessible digital systems. Our multidisciplinary project team is tackling six pivotal challenges and developing the groundwork for a regulatory system that will ensure the digital domain is inclusive, equitable and accessible for everyone.

## À propos | ||

## À propos | ||

## À Propos | ||

## À propos | ||
