slightly changed the definitions & removed LicenceInfo.
Need to see how

  • we can have a full list of known/popular licences (possibly reusing the SPDX list at https://spdx.org/licenses/)
  • we can recommend specific licences in an application (e.g. open licences)
  • have in addition to the known licences, generic values "proprietary" or addendum/specific cases for resources under a general licence
  • re-check conditions, rights statements, license categories etc.; in most cases these are associated with a licence; but they can also be associated with the access policy of a repo (e.g. authentication required even for resources with a CC licence) or copyright exceptions.

For the time being, the values 'proprietary', 'underNegotiation' and 'other' should be removed.

All conditions of use must be re-checked:

  • warning messages: personal data included, sensitive data included
  • academic-nonCommercial use to be split into two
  • academic use/purpose to be reconsidered vs academic research
  • user identified to be replaced with authentication & identification?

as a novelty here, DCAT 2.0 includes now the odrl:hasPolicy element, making reference to ODRL policies.
