LeakG3PD: a Python generator and simulated Water Distribution System dataset

This is an updated and improved version of LeakDB and was published as an article. The main results are the following:

  • Leak data consistency: now leak demands track pressure values according to WNTR leak model equation.

  • More complex network: Besides Hanoi and NET 1 networks, now NET 3 dataset is available

  • More realistic representations of leak possible locations: leaks are now represented as new nodes inserted within random points along random pipes

  • More variability of physical values along time: demand patterns for different nodes are now time shifted of up to 2h with 30min intervals; demand patterns have value 0 at random times.

  • Improved storage features: files for diferent nodes and links were grouped into single archives according to physical variables; the only scenario without any leak along the entire simulation time is scenario 0
