Clarence FG Castillo
My name is Clarence Fitzgerald Gumtang Castillo and I am currently studying Information Technology at Republic Polytechnic. Currently, I lead the technical ability of the school's Open Source Interest Group as the IG’s Technical Director. Here, I am able to explore and develop my passion for open source platforms whilst spreading the interest of open source technology to the school community.
As a computer enthusiast myself, I enjoy my time exploring, testing and playing with object-oriented languages such as Python and Java. Preferentially, I spend more time coding with Python as I firmly leverage in its simplicity and neatness which makes the hobby of programming, in its own sense, fun.
On a not-so-frequent basis, I take the time to read up networking concepts in preparation for my CCNA certification along with a bit of mobile software development, specifically in the fields of android programming. Constant development of my technical knowledge helps in keeping my interest towards technology alive.
With passive interest in evolutionary biology that roots from my own fascination towards the origins of life, I take the time to explore how life, in the most scientific (and sometimes non-secular) perspective, has evolved throughout the years and how we humans have come up to be as we are today. Considering the limitations of what modern science can offer, we cannot really help ourselves but to scientifically deduct theories and conceive conspiracies of life's uncertain humble beginnings.
As computing technology progresses, I aim to use this advantage for science and technology to dig deeper in answering the questions surrounding the mysteries of life. Given no assurance of what this work can really yield, no one can really say if these works would finally solve the case or if it would just add up to the hundreds of theories made to momentarily satisfy our curiosity and provide life its own definition.
