This is a Next.js project bootstrapped with create-next-app
and clerk.dev
Copy the file env.local_example
to .env.local
. Go to clerk.dev and create an account. From there you can grab your key that is safe for the frontend and add that as the value for the NEXT_PUBLIC_CLERK_FRONTEND_API
environment key. You will also need a CLERK_API_KEY
which you can generate from your clerk.dev dashboard.
First, run the development server:
npm run dev
# or
yarn dev
Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.
You can start editing the page by modifying pages/index.js
. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.
API routes can be accessed on http://localhost:3000/api/update-user. This endpoint can be edited in pages/api/update-user.js
.
The pages/api
directory is mapped to /api/*
. Files in this directory are treated as API routes instead of React pages.
