The ways we segment time in our retreat.

Core activities

  • Research track – reading articles and experimenting, being documented by its research trail and various literal code fragments; backed by a GH repository; 1-2 days per topic.
  • Deliverable track – building up a deliverable incrementally, which can be discovered by its result, source code and documentation; backed by a GH repository; 3-4 days, not a project.
  • Ideation & dreaming – Upfront effort of gathering ideas, wishes & intentions for research and/or deliverable tracks; sharing those ideas and synthetizing them among participations.
  • Performance & Showcase – presenting ideas, research or deliverables; can be called anytime.
  • Random exploration – walking sideways, learning and practicing what was not initially thought of, without knowing where it would lead; a few hours.
  • Practice for fun – break and do something else, out of curiosity, playful; a few hours, an evening, half a day.
  • Walk & breathe – whenever, to cool down the head, integrate, feel where we are, reflect, move, breathe.
  • Breakfast & lunch – at regular times (like sleep).
