Issue #136 Add ES Module exports

- Use tsup to support both CommonJS and ESM
- Update dependencies
- Add eslint and prettier dev tools
- Bump major version on all packages
- Use jsDocs.io for API documentation
- Edited files have been reformatted by prettier - more to come
- TS errors and eslint errors/warnings have been resolved
