Forward-merge branch-24.12 into branch-25.02
Adds a workflow that triggers a second workflow which sends a notification to a designated Slack channel on every PR labelled with breaking, whenever any of the following events are triggered on the PR: - closed - reopened - labeled - unlabeled Depends on rapidsai/shared-workflows#257
Unpins the `dask`, `dask-expr`, and `distributed` versions for 25.02 development. Depends on rapidsai/cudf#17439 (**Update**: Now merged). Authors: - Richard (Rick) Zamora (https://github.com/rjzamora) Approvers: - Peter Andreas Entschev (https://github.com/pentschev) URL: #72
Update version references in breaking-change trigger workflow Authors: - Jake Awe (https://github.com/AyodeAwe) Approvers: - James Lamb (https://github.com/jameslamb) - https://github.com/jakirkham URL: #73
Forward-merge branch-24.12 to branch-25.02
Pin to Dask 2024.12.1, since dask/dask#11606 broke RAPIDS. Authors: - Peter Andreas Entschev (https://github.com/pentschev) Approvers: - Vyas Ramasubramani (https://github.com/vyasr) - Richard (Rick) Zamora (https://github.com/rjzamora) - https://github.com/jakirkham URL: #77
This feature is required for RAPIDS 25.02, therefore we cannot upstream and wait for a Distributed release on time for the RAPIDS release. The code here is a verbatim copy of [Distributed's ucx.py](https://github.com/dask/distributed/blob/2e61816b68296e823b69a83b6845e512b80bc524/distributed/comm/ucx.py), only adding a new variable `distributed.comm.ucx.connect-timeout` that allows controlling the timeout of UCX exchange peer info procedure (implemented in rapidsai/ucx-py#1103). Authors: - Peter Andreas Entschev (https://github.com/pentschev) Approvers: - Benjamin Zaitlen (https://github.com/quasiben) - GALI PREM SAGAR (https://github.com/galipremsagar) URL: #80
