To run the project enter the backend folder and run pip install -r requirements.txt. Create a .env file in the same folder. To run the server python main.py. The server will start on port 3000.

Go to any Chromium based broswer (Chrome,Edge,Brave etc.) and go to Manage Extensions and then turn developer mode on.

Click on Load Unpacked and select the frontend folder to load the extension. Pin the extension and click on it when on any news site.
