QtChildID 1.0-beta
This release fixes the remaining build issues with the snap format and is able to run in the 'strict' mode leveraging the Ubuntu snaps 'plugs' model. It builds on i386, amd64 and armhf platforms.
This version is known to work with USB cameras and fingerprint scanners only.
QtChildID v1.0-alpha
After years of neglect, made this software compatible with the latest Ubuntu LTS (Xenial, 16.04). I have not tested any other platforms, but there is nothing that would indicate QtChildID would not run on other Linux distributions.
For the full 1.0 release, besides the bug fixing, I plan on focusing on a new distribution packaging format: snap. This should make it very easy and straight forward to install even for Ubuntu beginners.
I am open to feature requests and looking for volunteers to help test out the software to make it more stable and production grade.
