Informatics Hub at the Metabolomics society Annual Conference 2018

Overview

The Informatics Hub is a place where informaticians gather together with three aims:

  1. to provide their advice, knowledge, and support to anyone with a relevant question;
  2. to discuss current issues and challenges in mass spectrometry informatics with the entire community;
  3. to work on interesting, synergistic projects and to freely exchange tools, algorithms and know-how with each other, across all labs, seniorities and levels of experience.

Main Conference site

Bioinformatics Hub:

The Bioinformatics Hub will be located near the Poster/Exhibit Hall.

In case you're using twitter, you might want to use #metabolomics2018 and #BioInformaticsHub.

We'd also like to encourage you to use the Hub as meeting point if you want to meet someone and talk bioinformatics related stuff outside the scheduled time slots. We'll have white boards/flip charts, but most likely neither beamer nor pizza.

The CompMS initiative

The Bioinformatics hub is brought to you by the CompMS initiative, which aims to exploit synergies between different application domains, in particular proteomics and metabolomics. We are a joint initiative of the ISCB Community of Special Interest Computational Mass Spectrometry (CoSI CompMS) with the HUPO Computational Mass Spectrometry Initiative (HUPO CompMS) and the Task group "Computational Mass Spectrometry" of the Metabolomics Society.
