This script provides a straightforward way to batch remove specific EXIF date and time metadata from images within a directory. Designed to address an issue where iPhotos on MacOS sometimes fails to correctly batch change photo date and time, this tool offers a reliable solution.
- Python 3.x
- Pillow library (can be installed via
pip install Pillow
)
- Clone this repository or download the script
remove_exif_datetime.py
. - Ensure you have the required Python version and libraries installed.
- Run the script using
python3 remove_exif_datetime.py
. - When prompted, enter the directory path containing the images you wish to process.
- Removes the following EXIF metadata from images:
- Date-Time Original
- Date-Time Digitized
- Date-Time Metadata
- Provides clear feedback during processing, including any errors or issues encountered.
