Sprint 1 Retrospective

Retrospective meeting held to discuss progress, issues, task completion, learning moments, and more from Sprint 1. The sprint goal was achieved and the tasks were completed for the most part and on time. The group was asked for feedback on these topics and offered the following:

What went well

• Sprint 1 features are nearly completed
• The team had a good idea of site layout
• Regular, constructive team meetings we held
• All team members had commits to the repository
• The presentation received good feedback
• Good engagement and enthusiasm from team members
• Lots of opportunities to collaborate

Recommendations to improve

• Combine HTML and CSS files
• CSS and UI needs serious attention
• Spend more time on textbook database
• Remember to welcome changing requirements (principle of Agile)
• Procrastinate less, maintain a constant pace
• Expand the backlog instead of straying from sprint tasks to take on things not assigned (when appropriate)
• Better and more communication and consensus
• Embrace the challenges that come up, don’t shy away from them
• Maintain a desire to do good work and create a good product

Sprint 1 went well overall. It is important that we learn from previous sprints in order to improve.
