Sprint 2 Retrospective

Retrospective meeting held to discuss progress, issues, task completion, learning moments, and more from Sprint 2.

Overall, good progress was made but the sprint goal was not fully achieved. One team member dropped out of Sprint 2, leaving only 3 team members to work on the tasks. Some tasks were completed but communication is still lacking. Duplicate work was completed by team members taking on tasks not assigned. Two separate databases created problems but it was decided we would move forward with the separate databases instead of attempting to integrate them.

What went well

• A second, separate database was added so that all team members can work on database associated tasks
• The new database allows search box functionality
• Some Sprint 2 tasks were completed
• Two team meetings were held
• Most team members had commits to the repository
• Still good enthusiasm and desire to improve

Recommendations to improve

• All team members need to be working and contributing
• Team members should stick to their assigned tasks and collaborate so unnecessary duplicate work is not done
• CSS needs consistency
• Communication is a problem

Sprint 2 was challenging. Recommendations for improvement will be taken seriously.
