Traders are signs to which you can buy and sell to, modelled after the market in Age of Empires II. That is, there is a buy and a sell price for each item, which rise and fall depending on how many people are buying and selling that item.

However, in this case, the buy & sell price for each item is local to the sign, so there may be different markets in the world which buy and sell the item at different prices, and players should find which items give them the best profits based on the current markets.

Creating a trader sign

Trader signs should follow the following format:

[trader]
amount material
buy price | sell price
currency

Where:

  • amount is the amount of the material that is bought and sold
  • buy price is the price at which the material is bought FROM the shop
  • sell price is the price at which the material is sold TO the shop
  • currency is the currency in which transactions occur

Using a trader sign

In order to use a trader sign:

Right clicking buys from the shop, raising the price of the material (if it has not reached its price cap)

Left clicking sells to the shop, lowering the price of the material (if it has not reached its price floor)
