New features

  • Added a separate, customizable, layout for when the player is on-foot (see config/igm_config_spacelegs.v7.ini)
  • !overlay will re-read the layout config and show various UI elements to help with customization (see igm files in the config folder for instructions)
  • Bonus: custom layout for players using a 1080 resolution by Cmdr Skygallant (see config/preset/ folder).

Bug fixes

  • Mining stats were broken; hopefully these work now.
  • Speculative countermeasure for expired authentication not being renewed as intended, and leading to multiple "Comms Jammed" errors.
  • Fixed incorrect BGS state name which made the !search feature fail when looking for materials found in that specific BGS state.

New feature

Ship locker and backpack assessment!

Odyssey comes with a lot of new materials, most of it has no known use (i.e. useless materials) and some of it is only required for unlocking engineers (i.e. becoming unnecessary materials). EDR will now tell you which materials are Useless or Unnecessary, so that you can either discard them from your backpack to make room for more useful stuff, or sell them at the bar, or exchange them (especially the Unnecessary ones) with other players.

EDR will show a material assessment when the following events occur:

  • Collecting a new material
  • Discarding a new material (so that you know what else can be discarded)
  • Selling some material (ditto)
  • Transferring materials from/to your ship locker (so that you know what else can be discarded to make room)
  • Sending !eval locker or !eval backpack will show the top 3 useless and unnecessary items.

The assessment will show:

  • The total count for a given item (e.g. Opinion Polls (11))
  • The category of a given item to make it easier to find (e.g. Opinion Polls (DAT:11)). DAT: data, GDS: goods (aka items), CNS: consumables, ASS: assets (aka components).
  • If the material is from the backpack, you will see how many you have in your backpack and in total (e.g. Opinion Polls (DAT:2/13))

Caveat: some materials are only sellable at Bars in Anarchy but the feature currently doesn't make that distinction. Also, double check with the latest information (e.g. on Inara.cz) before getting rid of an useless/unnecessary material. Please file a bug if you find any discrepancies,

Quickly find stations and fleet carriers with the essential services: repair, rearm, and refuel.

  • Send !rrr in chat to find a station with repair, rearm and refuel services in the current system. Variations: !rrr deciat < 10 to search within a 10LY radius of Deciat.

  • Send !rrrfc in chat to find a fleet carrier with repair, rearm and refuel services in the current system. Variations: !rrrfc deciat < 10 to search within a 10LY radius of Deciat. Be sure to double check docking access right before heading toward the resulting fleet carrier.

Improvements and bug fixes

  • Search features should now work in Colonia.
  • Search features' check for "lockdown" state wasn't done properly and could result in returning candidate stations with inaccessible services.
  • Fix on distance parameters for search features (e.g. !if < 20 should now work)
  • Extra tips added.
  • Treat Odyssey settlements as ambiguous results for Search features given inconsistent data on landing pad sizes, and some advertised services that actually don't exist (e.g. interstellar factors). Also, avoid returning Odyssey settlements to Horizons players.
  • Avoid returning Fleet Carriers as candidates for the !staging command.

Features

In odyssey, one can find pre-upgraded and even pre-engineered space suits and weapons. These premium items are rare and in limited quantity (i.e. if you buy it, then it's gone for everyone else). EDR 1.6.0 comes with a new !offbeat command meant to help you find these rare items. Here is how it works:

  • Send !offbeat via the in-game chat to initiate a search for an "offbeat station"
  • An "offbeat station" is a station that hasn't been visited recently (currently set to at least 2 weeks) and within a 100 LY range of your current location or a system of your choice (!offbeat deciat)
  • By default, EDR will look at station within 100.000 LS of the star but you can change that value by specifying the system and a max distance (e.g. !offbeat deciat < 7000)
  • I recommend using Apex Taxi to visit these places as you can do something else in the meantime.

Good hunt!

Note: this feature doesn't absolutely guarantee that you will find a rare item at these stations but it does significantly increase the odds.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a syntax warning error in some search functions and the realtime alerts feature.

Discord integration

If you have had enough with the chat interface in Elite or simply want to filter out messages from specific CMDRs, or have your wing comms be read out loud, or a ton of other customization options, then this is the feature you have been waiting for.

You can setup EDR to directly forward in-game chat messages to a discord server and channel of your choice.

Please note the following:

  • This needs to be configured by you. By default EDR does not forward anything at all.
  • If you configure it, then the EDR EDMC plugin will directly send the messages to your discord server/channel.
  • The EDR backend (server) is NOT involved at all. In other words, your messages are never shared with EDR.

Also includes an AFK detector to forward messages when you are not around. Note: this feature requires quite a bit of setup. Start by looking into the config folder, there should be 2 files of interest: user_config_sample.ini and user_discord_players_sample.txt. Read the instructions or join EDR central for help.

Did I mention that the messages you receive and send remain private? I did? OK, good!

Known Signals

Summary of known signals (e.g. RES, CZ, Fleet Carriers, etc) shown when looking at the system map (may require to scan the nav beacon, or buy some data). Note that this can be manually triggered by sending !signals via the in-game chat.

Raw material profiles

New command !materials allowing to switch to different profiles of raw materials, e.g. !materials to see the list of supported profiles, !materials fsd to switch to mats for FSD synthesis. This affects the notification shown when approaching a planetary body.

Limpet reminder

Better "limpets restock" reminder.
Now works with any type of outfit instead of only a mining rig, also reminds you when switching ships.

Search around X

!search feature can now take the name of a system to search around, e.g. !search selenium @deciat

Multi minerals mining stats

Improved mining stats feature with support for multiple minerals: platinum, monazite, musgravite, ltd, painite, void opal.

Bug fixes & other changes

  • Fixed disappearing places (e.g. "Deciat, unknown") in EDR reports
  • Removed the 4x factor on bounties since fdev has yet to reflect the boost to bounty hunting in the journal...
  • Fixed issue with bounty rewards not being displayed.
  • Fixed rare issue with missing fields in Interdiction events.
